LIFE In CHRIST 365

Most people would consider it a great honor to be friends with a king, a famous artist, a prominent physician, a well-loved religious leader, an extremely wealthy tycoon, a world-renowned musician, or a Nobel Prizewinning diplomat. Jesus Christ is all of these and incomparably more. As King of kings, he has had power over the nations since time began and will reign as God of heaven and earth forever. As an artist, he paints thousands of glorious sunsets for man to enjoy. As the great Physician when on earth, he healed thousands of people of every disease, including death (he heals people even today)—he is also a broken-heart specialist. Hundreds of millions have worshiped Christ Jesus as the only true head of the church. He is the eternal great High Priest. As far as riches, he owns the cattle on a thousand hills and all the gold, silver, and precious gems under them. Our mighty God of glory created music. You will be amazed when you hear the music that awaits you in his kingdom above. As Ambassador of Heaven, he has won over millions—who, through his blood covenant, have received citizenship to his Father's kingdom. As Prince of Peace, he has brought the peace that surpasses understanding to millions of hearts. You who love Jesus the Lord shall be loved by the Father, and Christ Jesus will also love you and manifest himself to you—he will be the Friend who is closer than a brother. John 14:21 • Philippians 2:9-11 • Isaiah 57:15 Thank you, Jesus, for choosing me to be yours forever. You have blessed me with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. Thank you for salvation and eternal life. Thank you for making me a member of your body, the church. Thank you for having all power in heaven and on earth—I trust that you will work in my heart and life so that I may do your will each day to bring you glory. Amen.

Excerpt from November 12:

Paul considered everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus, the Lord. He also considered the sufferings of this present time not worthy to be compared with the glory that would be revealed in his life and forever in glory. As you give your heart more and more to the Savior Jesus, a transformation occurs. While you are going through fiery trials and sufferings for his sake, the Spirit of God is changing your inner self to be more and more in the likeness of Christ. You are gaining Christ, though you may be losing your old life. You are in Christ, and Christ Jesus is in you—he is the hope of glory! He is the resurrection and the life; even if you die, you will live forever. You will know the power of his resurrection. He will raise you in glory, and you will reign with him and enjoy the riches of his love and grace forever! Philippians 3:7-14 • Romans 8:14-18 Thank you, dear God, for having sustained me through the many sorrows and trials that I have been through. All things have worked out for my good, as you are fulfilling your purpose in my life. You have not withheld any good thing from me, for I have trusted you. Your ways and your thoughts are higher than my ways and my thoughts, even as the galaxies are high above the earth. Your ways are past finding out, but I will trust in the One who gave his life for me—who bridged the gulf between Heaven and earth by using an old, rugged cross. I can now freely travel over that chasm; no man could ever pass over that vast gulf before until Jesus, the Risen Savior, made a way. He is the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but by the bridge you made—the old rugged cross that brought me new life. I forever thank you! Amen.
